I made this wallpaper using blender for my new T-Mobile G1.  I brightened the overall image so it looks nice with the phones screen brightness around 40%.  Click the image above to see fullsize, then Right Click -> “Save Image As…”  to download it.  Enjoy.

I was playing around with Blender’s array modifier and wound up with this.  Perfect for dual screen users.  I’m including a .blend file for the curious, that has a nodes setup to change edge color and pellet color without rerendering.

Modeled and rendered with Blender.  This was my first time playing with blender halos and flares.  I had to mess around with the settings quite a bit before i got where I was going but I’m pretty happy with the flare effect.  I rendered at 2960×1050, as a dual-screen wallpaper for my 12″ and 20″ setup.  I’ll probably be updating this in the future as the terrain is not quite what I’m after.  You can download the image and the .blend file below.  Enjoy.
